Thymesia first caught our eye in November of last year, when its debut gameplay trailer had us calling it "Bloodborne with backflips". That description still applies, with Thymesia looking pretty darn slick in its newest video, which also confirms that it's slashing to PS5 on the 9th August.
If the combat ends up feeling as good as it looks, then we could be onto a real winner here. Hopefully we get some extended gameplay footage leading up to launch.
What do you make of Thymesia? Be edgy, but not too edgy, in the comments section below.

Count me in. Hopefully I can be finished with Elden Ring by then haha. Bloodborne vibes are strong here, and I enjoy these more independent shots at Souls games (Mortal Shell gave me a good 25 hours of entertainment).
No offence to the game but I've had my fill of Elden Ring, I always enjoy Souls-likes but generally once I beat them I don't want to play anything similar as I get burnt out on the formula every time I beat one since Dark Souls in 2011, I then go cold turkey until the next one comes out. Game look cool though!
After Mortal Shell, think I'm going to wait until some reviews and/or a price drop
@PlayStationGamer3919 Pretty sure that was the intent...
@ErrantRob you enjoyed mortal shell too? wasn't expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised by that game. So much better than similar games.
I can't begin to tell you how burnt out I am on Elden Ring at this point. But it still didn't scratch that Bloodborne itch so I'll definitely keep an eye on this.
@GorosBat I finished DS1 and just DS2 i played both but never finished them and nowi think im going for three. Im not going to Platinum it yet because that will take me three playthroughs im still traumatized by the Fume Knight yeah im not that great. π€ͺ
@CthulhuFhtagn loved it. I thought it was a good attempt at doing something different. I hope theyβll expand with a sequel.
You guys are burnt out on elden ring while I'm still trying to beat demon souls let alone the first dumb knight boss. My first souls game ever and I can't get past that damn knight π₯Ά
Looks Cool. I'm interested. Although I would like to see more varied environments and menagerie of boss monsters (but I suspect they're keeping those under wraps because some feel they can be spoiled).
Well it looks decent enough visually but all we saw was some combat which was all one on one in what looked like fairly linear areas... π
If it's another Soulsborne clone I'll pass as I've had my fill of Elden Ring already this year.
I'm just hanging onto the optimistic idea that Capcom and Hidetaki Itsuno officially announce Dragon's Dogma 2 sometime soon π€π
This and Lies of P look good.
Looks pretty good! It's already in my Steam wishlist.
Looks like a good time! If the combat is solid Iβm on board.
Combat does look good. But I'm not into any fromsoftware games.
Indeed, this does look SLICK... But I feel that FromSoftware is not the best at what they do; they're the only ones that do what they do.
I'll keep an eye on it though because this does look most impressive.
@JoyconGang I want to say... if it makes you feel any better, I beat Demon's Souls twice now and am on NG++ and I have yet to be able to beat Tower Knight by myself. I was able to kill all other bosses myself somehow but that damn Tower Knight is just... ugh...
The closest I ever got on my own was actually killing him but then he fell on me when he died and took me out with him. It was the single most getting hit with trash moment of my life.
Anyway, best of luck! You'll get it, and believe me, the rest of the game is excellent!
